Christmas Good Wishes in Wroughton & Swindon

As we approach the festive season we send you all Christmas good wishes in Wroughton & Swindon. It’s been a long month here in St John’s Road. Unfortunately we have seen a massive increase in visitors coming to stay with us, albeit briefly, and no not one of them was C 19 related or caused by it.

But as many of you will know, we always try to see the positive in everything we do. This means we have met some lovely new families.  We have also had been contacted by families we have looked after in the past, consequently finding out what has been happening to them is always nice to hear.

Covid 19

One of the more upsetting consequences of C 19 is that we now must keep our front door closed and locked, to comply with the latest guidelines.  This does not sit well with either Karen or myself, as you all know, we love to have people drop in for a chat.

If you do call in, please ring the bell which will alert me and if we are not there I will talk to you via the bell !!!! – yeah I know, it’s a bit weird.

Festive Season.

As the festive season is now well and truly with us, and the good folks of Wroughton & Swindon try to make the best of a bad year, our annual name display has been put up, and is available should you wish to come over to see it.

Bereavement List Wroughton & Swindon
                Your Loved Ones Names.

You might even like to write a card for your loved one to go on our Tree of Remembrance. So we can remember those of our loved ones gone before us.  Consequently the list will be on display until 12th night, and our outside lights are on all night, should you wish to visit after dark.

Remembrance Tree Wroughton & Swindon
       Our Remembrance Tree.

The funeral notices page on our website is proving extremely popular. A place where you can visit to remember your loved one, however I do have to say it is quite strange when I see my own father on there !!!!  God bless you Pop.

So, as far as I’m aware all that remains is for us to wish you all an enjoyable festive season.  We send you all our Christmas good wishes in Wroughton & Swindon, please stay safe, look after each other and hopefully we can all come back next year, stronger, safer and ready for whatever life throws at us.

Happy Christmas one and all, God bless.  Jem & Karen.
