  1. So sorry to hear this sad news today. I trained with Simon at Wyatt Pakeman partners back in 1982/85. He was a lovely guy . X

  2. Simon, where to start. From those teenage years of crazy nights in Bristol, followed by long walks home and the annual camping trips, where we would always be in trouble for making too much noise after a few too many beers. To recent times where you and Suze did more to help me than you will ever know. We had so many good times, despite the physical distance between us. Mostly winding each other up over sporting events, especially whem it involved Rovers or City, or England v Australia.
I’ll never forget your high speed train impression, learnt when we discovered we had pitched our tents next to the railway line over the hedge.
Then there was your short visit to Adelaide. We had not seen rain for about two months, but the day we went to the cricket at Adelaide oval you also brought the rain. You never did believe me when I told you that it rarely rained during summer in Adelaide.
I could keep going. But to put it simply, Simon was simply a good friend and I already miss his cheeky grin.
RIP Simon. Guess I get the last word in now… up the gas!

  3. We were so very sad to hear that Simon had also died, so soon after his beloved Suzé. They were such a devoted couple, and made each other so happy.
I found I still had the Christmas card they sent us from Christmas 2023, and I put it up with the cards for Christmas 2024. And I shall keep it for future Christmases, as a happy memory of them both.
With our love (- as Suzé herself always wrote on her cards -)
    Jill and Tim

  7. It is hard to take in that you are no longer with us. Thank you for being my best friend for the best part of 50 years, thank you for some wonderful memories of going on holiday, watching cricket, snooker and speedway amongst other things and for our great football rivalry!

It was wonderful that you meet Suze, you had to wait until later in life, but you were perfect for each other, may you both rest in peace.
