Wilson was my mother’s cousin, he offered to coach me for my 11 plus exams.
I’m 81 now so that that must have been 70 years ago. I will never forget his thoughtfulness and kindness, lovely man.
Hi Jean, did you used to be Jean Coote?
Goodbye to a good friend and sporting colleague. Wilson was a good man, a great teacher, and an excellent cricket umpire! We shall retain very happy memories of time spent with Wilson at the Golden Fleece in Shaw and outside on the cricket pitch with the Golden Fleece Cricket Club. Our deepest condolences to Janet and family,
Paul Netherwood, Malcolm Barber, John Pearson, Peter Chadwick and Don Coote and the rest of the GFCC’ers.
Very sad to hear the news of Wilson’s passing.
Thinking of you all. Love from Maggie & Amy (Mike Matcham’s family)
