Vincent ‘Vince’ Payne peacefully at The Great Western Hospital, Swindon on 22nd April 2026 aged 85 years.
Beloved husband of Vida, adored dad of Rachel, Craig, James (deceased) and Andrew and much loved Papa to Alani, Amara and Ariana. A wonderful friend and neighbour who will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service to be held at St John the Baptist and St Helen Parish Church, Wroughton on Monday 1st June at 12 noon.
Family flowers only, however donations in memory of Vince will be gratefully received for Park View Care Home and Alzheimer’s Society UK. These may be left in the collection box following the service or sent c/o Mead Family Funerals, 10 St John Road, Wroughton SN4 9ED.

So sorry to hear this , vince was a lovely man and will be sadly missed sending a big hug to Vi and family I can remember when Vi and Vince met each other and they were well matched ❤️

Vince always said this. An absolute gentleman and Legend. So many great memories playing pool back in the day and was happy and friendly to the end. Always had a smile and a hello to everyone he passed on his mobility scooter.
True legend that will be sadly missed 💔

Vince was a kind caring and funny men, we hadn’t seen him much lately but when we did we’d always stop for a chat with him. And he always had a big smile on his face. Rest in Peace Vince and sending much love to Vi.
